Why Choose First Banners

Built to last, printed with care

Every order goes through proofing, color-matching, and a hand-check before it ships. Screen printing, DTG, DTF transfers, embroidery, and patches — we run almost everything in-house, so we recommend the technique that fits your art, garment, and budget instead of forcing it through one workflow.

Why brands choose us

  • Screen printing, DTG, DTF, and embroidery under one roof.
  • Approved artwork and stitch-files before the first piece runs.
  • Local to Los Angeles, shipping nationwide.

How We Work

From your brief to finished pieces

A clear, repeatable process so you know what's happening at every stage.

  1. Step 01

This is the foundation. For a clean, sharp print, we need a high-resolution file that meets the following:

    • SVG, AI, EPS files (vector files — best for screen printing, scale to any size cleanly)
    • High-resolution PNG at 300 DPI or above (preferred for DTF and DTG)
    • If you have an old file from a previous project with us, we can reuse it.
    • If you have a file from another shop, we can check whether it is print-ready.
    • If you need help making the design, we can build it for you (one-time fee).
    • PDF is not preferred for DTF prints — please send a high-DPI PNG (300+ DPI) for the best edge sharpness and color reproduction.
  2. Step 02

    Apparel, Sizing and Placement

Tell us what you would like printed on. We carry blanks in-house, but we are happy to print on your own garments as long as you bring a few extras in case of any issues.

    • Our main inventory includes t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, jackets, polos, tote bags, hats, towels, and more.
    • Specify sizing and quantity per size (e.g. 5 XS, 5 S, 4 M, 5 L, 8 XL).
    • Specify print placement: left chest, center front, full back, sleeve, etc.
    • Standard sizes: roughly 4 inches for left-chest; up to 12 inches for full front or full back.
    • Higher quantities bring down the price per unit.
  3. Step 03

    Quote and Digital Mockup

Before production starts, we send a quote with line-item pricing and a digital mockup showing your design on the actual garment. Once you approve both, we begin printing.

    • Digital mockup shows colors, placement, and approximate size on the chosen garment.
    • Changes requested can be handled here — adjustments at this stage are simple.
    • Pricing covers garment cost, printing, and any applicable setup fees.
    • Different techniques (screen print, DTG, DTF) have different cost structures — we recommend the best fit for your art and quantity.
    • Rush quotes available — just let us know your deadline upfront.
  4. Step 04

    Finalize Order

Once you approve the mockup and quote, we collect a deposit and lock in your spot on the print schedule.

    • A 50% deposit is typically required to begin production.
    • Accepted: all major credit/debit cards, Zelle, cash, and business checks.
    • Balance is due upon pickup — shipping is available at additional cost.
    • If you are tax exempt, share your resale certificate and we will handle it.
  5. Step 05

    Receive Your Printed Apparel

Time to wear it. Each piece is hand-checked before it leaves the shop. We offer free local delivery, shipping, and in-shop pickup.

    • Turnaround time: roughly 7 business days after start of production (varies by technique).
    • Expedite: possible with a rush fee — we will do our best to hit your deadline.
    • Shipping: UPS / FedEx. Tracking number sent once shipped.
    • Local pickup and local delivery available — share your address and we will recommend the best option.

Ready to start? Send us your details.

The more you can share up front (artwork, garment, sizes, quantities, deadline), the faster we can come back with a quote and a digital mockup.

Answers Before Production Day

Frequently asked questions

If you need technical specs, compliance documentation, or custom insurance certificates, reach out. Our coordinators can fill in the missing details.

What is the minimum order?

Screen printing typically starts at small batch quantities, DTG and DTF have no minimum so single-piece samples and short runs are easy, and embroidery scales from one-off to bulk hat/jacket orders. Keep in mind that as the quantity rises, the cost per unit typically drops as well.

Which blanks do you print on?

Gildan, Comfort Colors, Bella+Canvas, Independent and other premium blanks. Share the look and feel you’re after — soft hand, heavyweight, garment-dyed — and we’ll spec the right base.

How long do orders take?

Standard turnarounds run typically around 7 business days once artwork is approved. Rush options are available depending on the technique and order size.

Can I get samples?

We typically do not give samples, as they are time consuming and take up time to set up. If you really need samples, we can either show you similar prints on similar materials if we have any, or we can actually make the sample for you, subject to significantly increased fees. For more details on this, just inquire and we will be pleased to clarify.

Tell us about your run

Share your art, garment preferences, and quantities. We’ll come back with a quote, technique recommendation, and turnaround — no piecing together the workflow yourself.
