Accessibility statement
Last updated August 25, 2026
First Banners is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including customers who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, and voice control.
Our target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities. Meeting them also improves the site for everyone else.
What we’ve done
- Semantic HTML with proper headings, landmarks, and lists.
- Descriptive labels on interactive controls (buttons, form inputs, navigation).
- Keyboard-navigable menus, modals, and product configurators.
- Visible focus indicators so keyboard users can see where they are on the page.
- Color contrast reviewed and iteratively improved.
- Alternative text on meaningful images; decorative graphics marked appropriately so screen readers skip them.
- Structured data and clear page titles to help both humans and assistive technologies understand each page.
Known limitations
We’re continuously working on accessibility. A few known areas where we’re still improving:
- Product color swatches display each color’s name overlaid on the color itself. For some brightly-saturated mid-tone colors this overlay text may not meet 4.5:1 contrast. The color name is always also available via each swatch’s tooltip, screen-reader label, and the “Selected color” display below the swatch grid.
- Product photography and color palette data are supplied by our wholesale partner (S&S Activewear). We can’t modify their source images, but we surface alternate ways to identify each product through titles, style numbers, and descriptions.
- Some third-party embeds (analytics, forms, chat widgets) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We evaluate replacements as they become available.
Getting in touch
If you run into an accessibility barrier on our site, or if you have suggestions for how we can do better, please contact us. If a page isn’t working for you, we’ll help you complete your request personally — whether that’s browsing our catalog, building a quote, or submitting an order — by phone or email.
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: (213) 222-8433
We respond to accessibility requests as quickly as we can, typically within 2 business days. When you contact us, please include:
- The page URL where you encountered the issue
- What you were trying to do
- The assistive technology or device you were using, if relevant
Ongoing review
We periodically audit the site using automated tools (axe DevTools) and manual checks against WCAG 2.1 AA. When issues are surfaced — either through our own testing or through customer reports — we address them in the next available release.
Formal complaints
If you are unable to resolve an accessibility issue by contacting us directly, U.S. residents can file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under the Americans with Disabilities Act. California residents may also have rights under the Unruh Civil Rights Act. We would prefer to hear from you first so we can fix the problem quickly.
